Jessie Nelson is an innovative percussionist always striving for the next level in her artistic endeavors. Currently located in New York, she has and continues to work with various groups such as jazz trios and quartets, spoken word artists, orchestras and theater productions since receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Music (drum set / percussion / jazz studies) from Arizona State University in 2006. Jessie teaches private lessons and percussion workshops, has performed throughout the Phoenix area and currently performing in New York. In New York, she teaches with the Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls.
